What this is
Every episode starts from primary sources and ends where the record ends. Where a story is legend rather than fact, we say so on screen rather than letting the better version win. And it's narrated the way these stories were actually told — in a Scottish voice, not the flattened mid-Atlantic default most true-crime and history channels reach for.
